Working Together

The combination of a missionary network (GMNF), which is the passion of its CEO Anton Williams, and a team of dedicated theological practitioners has led to Reforming Discipleship. Timeless Theological Academy is fully supportive of the attempts to make theological education affordable, accessible, and achievable for all who are willing to learn. For those wanting to pursue a fully accredited UK degree or postgraduate qualifications, we would recommend Belfast School of Theology. Rev. Forum Hubs

We want you to join a social hub of disciples ready to talk to each other. Firstly, we aim to explore how we can travel closer to Jesus by combining the best of biblical and theological scholarship with an intimate, personal, and collective relationship with Jesus. The forum will include a variety of subjects covering ministry, discipleship, mission, and spiritual formation. Give your perspective and gain from other perspectives, but remember to do so with love, grace, and a desire to edify the body of Christ.

Anton Williams

GMNF Global Mission Society founder is Anton R. Williams. He is a 9th generation owner business owner of real estate, timber fields, oil and gas fields, financial and corporate interest. GMNF is solely funded by the monitored, restricted and secured Anton R. Williams Trust. The organization does not accept any other donations, grants or funding of any kind. Anton is also the owner of the Anton Williams Ventures of Grand Rapids MI and Anton Williams Holding Company of Kalamazoo MI. He is also the founder of the Anton R. Williams Foundation of Grand Rapids MI. Anton Williams Ventures is a consolidated conglomerate comprising several lines of business functions.

Joanne Hagemeyer

Joanne is a biblical studies consultant for Reforming Discipleship, currently completing her PhD at Faulkner University under the supervision of Professor Leonard Sweet; she brings to her role a wealth of biblical and theological knowledge. She also graduated from Portland Seminary with an MA. Joanne is also a keen amateur archaeologist. She writes, "I am still answering God’s call to teach, counsel, mentor, and train in His word and Spirit through retreats, Bible studies, and books. I also serve on the teaching and pastoral teams of my church, New Hope Chapel, Arnold, MD".

Rev. Dr. Alistair Bates

Alistair began to study social anthropology at Queen’s University in Belfast, graduating with a BA. During that time he applied and was accepted as a student to train for the ordained ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. In 1992, Alistair went to Union Theological College and graduated with a BD. He served as both an assistant and then later an associate minister at First Ballymena Presbyterian Church, Ballymena, from 1994 until 2000, and Scrabo Presbyterian Church, Newtownards, 2000-2103. Alistair also has a PhD from the University of Glasgow.

Do you provide free online courses

There is no charge if you simply want to watch the lectures, read our notes, and partake in the quizzes. Nevertheless, there is a tremendous benefit to having your course supervised. We provide grades to assessed work with comments We ask that anyone wishing to avail of supervision on any of our courses please contact us first, and we will discuss how that is done.

Are the courses accredited?

The simple answer to that is no. At this stage we do not feel that accreditation is our highest priority. Every student who has been through extensive theological education is aware that the real credibility and value of a course are found in both its content and delivery. If a lecturer provides wonderful content with a poor delivery, the student may fail to reach their potential. Conversely, poor content, even if delivered with wonderful skill, will not equate to spiritual formation and growth. At Reforming Discipleship, we aim to provide the best quality webinars and courses we can without imposing a cost on those we seek to serve.

Are you evangelical?

Yes, we are evangelicals from various theological traditions, ranging from Presbyterian to Pentecostal. We believe there is a strength in both theological diversity and being unified in our desire to follow Jesus in discipleship together. We believe in unity, not uniformity. We believe in the historic creeds and support the statements of belief espoused by Evangelical Alliance.

Are you part of a network?

Currently, we receive encouragement and support from Timeless Theological Academy and the Global Mission Network Foundation. We encourage other evangelical colleges and organizations to join us on our journey of discovery as we explore the subjects of discipleship, mission, ministry, and spiritual formation. We could learn a lot from each other.

How can I help?

Everyone can pray for us. In particular, we would like you to pray that we become a growing network of eager disciples for Jesus who can translate what they learn here into their context. Secondly, we need to build our resources sufficiently so that we can become an ever-expanding community of knowledge. To help us do that, if you are a lecturer who is willing to submit articles relating to discipleship, mission, ministry, and spiritual formation, please get in contact with us. These may be articles, previously published, that you have permission to republish, or ones that did not reach publication. Thirdly, spread the word. Try to share this site with others and, in particular, subscribe to our YouTube channel.
